Art of War: Red Tides Gameplay
The main goal of players is to destroy three defensive towers and the base of the opponent. Races in the game have radical differences, and the battles are held in a PvP format. The units of different factions vary from biological machines to technological creations and designs.
In the Art of War: Red Tides, different teams can fight on several platforms simultaneously. It allows gamers from all over the world to play Art of War: Red Tides on the same server. The gaming mechanics are quite simple. Each of three races has ten units, which allows to collect a unique army and balance it.
There are three races to choose from; each has unique characteristics; all have different warriors and active skills. In the main menu, you select a package of your troops, which you can hire in the game. Each unit has targets in the game; some of them are tanks, others are hidden killers, some hit single targets, others specialize on AoE attacks, and so on. When you click on a unit, you will receive information about its strength, range, protection, health and personality.
The development depends on you and how quickly you can orientate yourself in the situation because you always have to adapt and create counter-strategies. The game goes until the destruction of the enemy base, or after 45 waves to the last survivor.
Art of War: Red Tides Races
There are three races in the Red Tides: the Terrans, the Atlac and the Yaoguai. The Terrans specialize in technological weapons and development; powerful weapons and cruisers made them the terrifying force in the whole universe until they met the Atlas from the deep sea. The Terrans enslaved the Yaogais and forced them to fight on their side, but were unaware of the military power they had created. The Yaogais' development is focused on biological units, and their unique skill is sacrifice. And now a brutal war between the three races must decide the fate of the universe.
Art of War: Red Tides Classes
Lightweight units are units that do not require research, have low health and damage, improve to 4 technology points, cost one point of the population. They're used to build advantage at the beginning of the game and to conquer the critical units. By the middle of the game are sold to release the limit, redistribute the technology points and return the essence to more powerful troops.
Medium units have a good stock of health and damage, improve to 6 points technology, cost two points of the population. Medium units are divided into two species:
- Closer to Lighter Units, which are used to build up the advantage or countermeasures at the beginning of the game, in the late delivery of the game sold to release the limit and redistribution of points technology.
- Closer to Heavy Units, used as the main backbone of the army or to hold the advantage.
Heavy units have a significant amount of health and damage reserve, improve to 8 technology points, cost three population points. They're used to consolidate the advantage in the middle of the game or the final chord of your tactics, sold in a desperate situation, as a lot of essences will be wasted.
