Assassin's Creed 3 Gameplay

Assassin's Creed 3 tells the story about the life of an assassin in the USA during the American Revolution in the eighteenth century. It's a man named Ratonhnhaketon, also known as Connor, and his father is Grand Master of the Templar Order. He gets involved in the conflict between Assassins and the Templar Order when his village is attacked by the Templars, who seek control over the newly forming country. The main storyline spans through two decades of his life. The first one is his childhood in 1760 to 1783. During that timeline, you may explore New York, Boston and the American Colonial Frontier. At another chapter of the main plot, you may explore the city of Philadelphia, as well as The Caribbean during several naval missions. The entire Eastern seaboard is also available using Connor's warship.

Assassin's Creed 3 allows you to freely explore the cities and wilderness, using different movement mechanics, such as climbing trees, cliffs and mountains and running on them. Close combat allows you to dual-wield weapons and to fight multiple opponents simultaneously. Connor also has access to a wide range of weapons like muskets, pistols, Native American weaponry, swords and the Hidden Blades, which also help with blocking attacks, skinning an animal, and performing assassinations. You can also use enemies as shields against firing lines of enemies. Health slowly recovers itself, and stealth allows players to use natural elements such as grass and trees to cover, along with the ability to blend between crowds of people.

Assassin's Creed 3 features weather simulations such as fog, snow and rain. The seasons can change as well, and that not only affects visuals but also the gameplay. The players run slower in deep snow, and snowfall can reduce visibility for both players and enemies. The game also includes animals, which can be domestic or wild. You can find wild ones in the Frontier, and it is allowed to hunt them for meat or other materials. The quality of the shot determines the value, and silent hunting is the most efficient way of doing it. You may also use traps and baits during the hunt.

Assassin's Creed 3 also allows you to control the economy of the protagonist's village. The area can be visited by other people, such as carpenters, tailors, or leatherworkers. You can help them in performing various tasks, and they may move to your Homestead. That unlocks different crafting options to improve your equipment and obtain valuable goods. The players can also help them build relationships with each other, which results in the formation of a village. You can perform various upgrades for both the town and the ship.
