Cartoon Strike Gameplay
Cartoon Strike is a free-to-play online FPS with, as the name implies, cartoonish graphics. The game doesn’t possess any storyline and just offers pure gameplay experience. The main goal of the game maps is to win over your opponents while completing various tasks, such as capturing the object, capturing the control points or eliminating everyone present on the map.
The current version of the MMOFPS presents five different maps that are available for choosing:
Tounine is a World War II map with German and British forces in Team Deathmatch, where forces must eliminate their enemies.
Arabian Night is a medium-sized map that takes place in an environment of a dark night. Soldiers fight the Terrorists in the Arms Race game mode.
Planet Khione is a snowy type of a map in a future setting that involves a Free-for-all mode.
Stream Houses is a main map for the Capture the point mode.
Airport is a medium map where participants experience Capture the Bag mode.
Cartoon Strike features a levelling system where characters get exclusive upgrades after reaching certain levels. These enhancements can be applied to lower the recoil, to upgrade the weapon’s amount of ammo, to better the accuracy, etc. Although, these points can be improved by using the loot boxes, offered by developers in the in-game shop. There is also a multitude of weapons and armour to choose from. Active players gain loot boxes for completing particular challenges and visiting the game often.
Character customization in this MMOFPS presents a wide range of character skins that can be either earned or bought using real or in-game money. A variety of clothes types can fit most of the players’ needs.
Cartoon Strike does not take itself too seriously as a shooter, so it can be a fun title to try out with a group of friends and random people occasionally. In public games, there are bots that play against the participants. However, in this case, real people will take over those bot positions when they join the game. Overall, even though if the player runs into the problem of a low online, AI does a good job replacing real participants for some time.
