CD Projekt is a Polish holding company, publisher, localizer and developer of computer games. CD Projekt was founded in May 1994 by Marcin Iwiński and Michał Kiciński; the department responsible for the development of original games, CD Projekt Red, was formed in 2002. The most famous series of this studio is the Witcher, which includes three games and side projects such as Gwent and Thronebreaker.

The most known project of CD Projekt Red is the Witcher series, based on the Witcher novels by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. The world of this game is set in the medieval fantasy universe hugely inspired by Polish culture and Slavic mythology. In 2020, the video game series successfully reached the number of 50 million copies sold, which made CD Projekt Red one of the most famous and reputable game studios.

In addition to the Witcher series, CD Projekt has an original project Cyberpunk 2077. The setting of this video game is based on the dystopian board game by Mike Pondsmith; the creator of Cyberpunk also was involved in the development of this video game. The upcoming project is already known for deep character customization, extreme flexibility of the gameplay styles, and missions inspired by old-school RPG games with high variability of outcomes and original scenarios.

CD Projekt also runs the digital distribution service GOG.com (formerly known as Good Old Games). It was created by CD Projekt to help players find old games and show the classic masterpieces to the new gamers. After a while, GOG also started to distribute modern AAA and indie games.

The Witcher is an action role-playing game by Andrzej Sapkowski released in 2007. It tells the story about travelling monster hunter Geralt of Rivia, rejected by the society because of the Witcher's supernatural powers. The main feature of the first Witcher game is a system of delayed consequences and moral choices. Even though storybook Geralt's philosophy was to keep the neutrality, the game allows you to choose the sides of the conflict, open new sides of the character's personality and affect the story.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is a sequel of the Witcher action game released in 2011. It has enhanced combat system, advanced graphics, and amazing immersive storyline. In this part, Geralt from Rivia involves into political wars of the Temeria. Like the previous game, The Witcher 2 has a system of moral choices and circumstances.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the latest instalment of the Witcher Series. This part of the game concentrated on the storyline and immersion into the gameplay: it has open world with dozens of side-quests, living charismatic characters, and advanced dialogue system. The Witcher 3 has two major expansion packs, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, which brings new characters and content in the game.
