Cuisine Royale Gameplay

Cuisine Online is a unique experimental MMOFPS in the genre of battle royale. The main feature of this project is a unique setting and visual style, which goes against classic cliches of battle royale genre. It also has magic combat, deeply customizable character development and a wide range of weapons. The main feature of the project is a setting, which is inspired by cuisine. In essence, CO provides an opportunity to use cooking instruments as weapons, participate in events inspired by cooking and heal characters with different delicious dishes. The developers of this game have a great sense of humour, which influences the gameplay.

Cuisine Royale has three game modes: classic battle royale, where all players fight for themselves, and several multiplayer-only competitions for two or four players in a team. All of these modes use traditional mechanics of battle royale, such as limited active game zones and battles until the last-standing player or team. During the match, players will have to fight with each other, collect the equipment and search for the loot boxes. Also, this game has an exclusive system of TPV, which allows using of drones and spy on other participants of the combat, which provides opportunities for complex strategic planning of the gameplay.

The main feature of the project is it’s setting: the developers of the Cuisine Royale combined cuisine setting with dozens of realistic weapons of World War 2 Era. You can choose between different pistols, rifles, machine guns, grenades. Moreover, you can use melee weapons from knives to exotic instruments such as pans. Other cooking utensils can be used as armour equipment: pots and colanders can be used as helmets, and heavy tools, such as waffle makers, are suitable as a bulletproof vest.

The developers of Cuisine Royale released loot boxes in the form of the fridges. Depending on the colour of the refrigerator, players will receive a certain amount of specific items, which are completely clear for all existing types. The developers are calling this system ‘the fairest loot boxes in history of video games’ because players will always receive only those items which were stated in the description. Still, it’s a challenge to win even with the help of obtained benefits.

Another noticeable aspect of the Cuisine Royale is a system of seasons. One period lasts for ten weeks, and it’s dedicated for different countries; during the seasons, players can receive the recipes of different items — the masks, suits, graffiti, gestures, and other specific things. The special ingredients can be obtained for the completion of achievements, daily or weekly quests, and participation in competitions. All of these items are only decorative so that none of the players will gain an advantage in combat with their help.

Cuisine Royale is a free-to-play project with small in-game shop, where players can buy specific ingredients for seasons, decorative items and supplies. All of the available purchasable items are decorative; moreover, many of bought and crafted things can be sold after the end of the season. It’s possible to trade with other players and receive Gaijin coins, which can be used to buy something in the same game, or other projects of the studio.
