Dark Souls 3 Gameplay

Dark Souls 3 is a continuation of famous hardcore action RPG series. In this game, you play as a custom-created hero. The main character is one of the Unkindled, which are the remains of undead warriors who failed to succeed on the same journey and burned their bodies to ashes. The story of the game can be connected through its in-game items, its introductory cinematic, dialogues and environments.

In Dark Souls 3, the players control their characters using the third-person camera view and explore the vast dark fantasy world of Lothric. The gameplay is similar to the previous games of the series, and players can equip a wide range of available weapons, items and magic abilities to combat the opponents. Various spots on the map include bonfires, which used to save the progress and respawn after the death. Players can carry Estus Flasks and consume them to replenish health, mana and magic. Each weapon has a specific range of skills available only on particular tools. The combat is fast, and various movements, such as backstepping, swinging swords and others, are rapid.

Dark Souls 3 features ten different classes, which are Knight, Mercenary, Warrior, Herald, Thief, Assassin, Sorcerer, Pyromancer, Cleric and Deprived. The only difference between them is the distribution of the starting attributes, and each level acquired provides more stats to put in any of the available options. The starting equipment is slightly different as well; however, the players may create any playstyle from all the basic presets.

Dark Souls 3 offers the sophisticated attributes system to the players, which is used to increase the overall power of the character in specific ways. The players may tweak the following stats:

Vigour determines the total amount of health of the hero.
Attunement affects the number of attunement slots, or amount of the spells carried simultaneously.
Endurance increases the total of Stamina.
Vitality defines maximum Equipment Load and affects both Physical Defence and Poison Resistance.
Strength increases the damage and improves the heavy weapons wielding abilities of the characters.
Dexterity reduces spellcasting times and improves the wielding of advanced weaponry.
Intelligence is required to cast sorceries and also boosts Magic Defence.
Faith enhances the casting of miracles and also increases Magic Defence.
Luck determines how often the enemies can drop valuable items.

The attributes affect other powers and defence abilities of the characters in various ways, and players can experiment with different development paths. The increase the level of the characters you have to defeat numerous opponents, gather their souls and deliver them to a specific NPC without dying. Otherwise, you lose all the accumulated souls and have only once chance to travel back to the place of death to recover them.

Dark Souls 3 fit both casual and hardcore players, and the game allows you to repeat most of the in-game challenges to acquire more experience and items. The built-in multiplayer modes offer a chance to test your skills against other players. You may compare your statistics to others and create unique combinations of different gear pieces and abilities to challenge them.
