The plot in DayZ is missing, and the main goal here is survival.

The gameplay is the management of a survivor who miraculously escaped from a zombie virus that suddenly enveloped the world. The player will explore a vast open world filled with the walking dead and other surviving people who are fighting for resources.

DayZ implements all the physiological needs of a person. The main task in the process of finding resources will be to provide the character with food. Hunger and thirst will lead to inevitable death. It is also necessary to monitor body temperature because neglecting this will lead to the appearance of diseases. Diseases in the game are treated quite hard: you need to look for certain medications that are very rare. Besides, DayZ has a personal injury system. For example, falling from a great height will lead to fracture and internal bleeding.

While traveling around the world, it will be possible to find a large number of different modes of transport, designed to move both in air and on land. With a high degree of probability, the carriage will be broken, so the main task will be to find parts for its restoration. Ultimately, however, a moving vehicle will significantly increase the chances of survival.

The main feature of the game is a direct collision of players with each other. Those you can trust in DayZ are very difficult to find. Everyone plays for himself and, in most cases, tries to disable other players to get their resources. When visiting significant locations in search of loot, you must be as careful as possible so as not to be trapped. DayZ players are very famous for their insidiousness.

In DayZ, there are a considerable number of different types of weapons and equipment. There is a massive variety of rifles, shotguns, PP pistols, etc. It is possible to use melee weapons in battles, such as bats and knives. There is also a modification system: stocks, bipods, sights, and other types that will help make weapons more effective. From the equipment, there are backpacks of various capacities, armor, ordinary clothes, and auxiliary tools that help to carry out any actions.

The game is famous for its large map, filled with various locations, ranging from cities to small villages. While traveling around the world, it is possible to penetrate the atmosphere of despair and hopelessness completely.

The developers also brought the game a kind of entertainment. The player can engage in fishing, growing various vegetables, and different types of hunting for wild animals. This will help to distract from the constant wars with zombies and other survivors.
