Gameplay

The first thing that greets you in Dead Maze is the robust character creation menu. The game allows for the selection of various clothing options, hairstyles, and genders, ensuring that your character feels genuinely unique. This detailed customization is an excellent segue into the game’s intriguing storyline, which is delivered through cutscenes and missions, providing context to the apocalyptic world around you.

Cooperative Survival

Dead Maze truly shines in its emphasis on cooperation. Players can join public servers or create new ones to team up with friends. Completing objectives and surviving zombie hordes are tasks best tackled as a team, requiring players to strategize and work cohesively. Cooperation extends to the trading system, allowing characters to exchange consumables like food and water to aid in survival.

Resources Management and Character Stats

The game goes beyond traditional zombie survival mechanics by incorporating thirst, hunger, and fatigue parameters for each character. Not only must you fight off zombies, but you also have to scavenge for food, water, and rest. Consumables can be gathered from various parts of the playable areas, which adds a layer of resource management and strategy to the game.

Base Building and Scavenging

Beyond just surviving, Dead Maze offers extensive base-building mechanics. Players can gather resources to fortify structures and even decorate their safe havens with furniture and amenities. Growing food and breeding animals also become essential activities as you progress. The camp, however, isn’t a permanent refuge, and players will need to venture into dangerous zones to scavenge for more advanced resources and artifacts.

Crafting and Equipment

Dead Maze features an in-depth crafting system, providing players with a vast array of over 500 unique weapons to find or create. Weapons come with different power levels and special effects, necessitating experimentation to find the optimal loadout for different enemy types.

Exploration and Enemy Types

Exploration is encouraged with a diverse array of locations filled with unique enemies. In addition to regular zombies, some areas feature powerful lieutenants and massive bosses. Defeating these tougher enemies often rewards players with valuable consumables and high-tier equipment.

Graphics

Dead Maze adopts an old-school graphical style, complete with hand-drawn textures and a top-down view. The game’s aesthetic pays homage to vintage video games, delivering an air of nostalgia while maintaining a fresh and immersive experience.
