Electronic Arts is one of the first American corporations-distributors of video games. The company was founded on May 28, 1982, by Trip Hawkins. Currently, the most successful EA products are sports games published under the EA Sports label (FIFA, Madden NFL, NBA Live, NHL, UFC), games based on popular movie licenses such as Harry Potter, and games from long series such as Need for Speed, FIFA, Medal of Honor, The Sims, and Battlefield.
