Fable III Description
Fable III is an open world Action / RPG fantasy game developed by Lionhead and published by Microsoft Game Studios.
Fable III begins 50 years after Fable II's events when the Industrial Revolution starts in Albion. After the death of the old king, his son, Logan, begins to rule the country. His younger brother/sister will play the main character, who grows up in the royal castle and is a prince/princess. Over the years, Logan begins to conduct an increasingly brutal policy in the kingdom, which becomes the reason for the aggravation of the relationship between the protagonist and Logan. Ultimately, the protagonist decides to escape from the castle, along with his mentor and servant. Together they begin to look for allies to make a revolution - from this moment, the main gameplay begins.
Fable 3 Gameplay
The gameplay has not undergone any drastic changes since the second part; however, several new features have been added. The primary process will also be a journey worldwide, completing main and side quests, battles with various opponents and character improvement.
Relationship system
Relationships in Fable 3 are one of the key mechanics of the game, allowing you to build the character of the protagonist and the attitude of other characters towards him. For this, there is both the possibility of choice in key moments and the system of actions and emotions that manifests itself when interacting with the NPC.
Storyline and side quests
The Fable series has always been famous for its captivating storyline and elaboration of each of the quests. Peter Molyneux tried to implement both unexpected plot twists in the primary campaign and each side quests' uniqueness. So, the player can be asked to change into a rooster costume, help resolve the intrapersonal conflict of a dead writer, help with the search for garden gnomes, etc. Fable 3 is unique in its way in terms of quests, and this stands out from the rest of the games of this genre.
Combat system
Fable III has an advanced semi-targeted combat system, which is subdivided into melee and ranged. The player will have three different types of weapons in stock: magic, melee and long-range. In addition, various skills can also be used during battles. So, for example, you can summon spirits to your side, which will fight on the player's side.
Unique pause menu
One of the game's distinctive features is the pause menu, which, instead of the usual window with various items, moves the player to a kind of headquarters. Here, the player can use the capabilities of the typical pause window and change the character's equipment, view statistics and achievements, connect to a multiplayer session, and check the reserves of his treasury. All this is done in the appropriate rooms.
World and environment
Fable III contains many stunningly detailed locations. Highly detailed areas, utterly open to free exploration, will delight the eye over and over again. Depending on the biome prevailing in the current area, the player will see various large-scale structures and diverse fantasy flora and fauna.
