Gangs of Space Gameplay

Gangs of Space is a unique blend of different genres, such as MMORPG, rogue-like and shoot-em-up. The players build their unique spaceship to explore procedurally generated dungeons and instances. Each region contains several hotspots, and each location includes multiple areas. The primary objective of the game is to liberate the sites and gain control of them in the name of the Empire. The players need to manually reach the hotspot and stay within its range until the capture meter fills up and the enemies are gone. The number of enemies killed and the time spent in the area affect the credits the players receive for liberating the hotspot.

This game features a permanent death system, and once you lose a ship, it’s gone forever. However, the players may purchase more than one and store them in their hangars. The game features two classes of spaceships, which are attackers and supports. Each one includes several unique models, and all of them have unique attributes and features. Levelling up affects the characteristics of each vehicle, and the players can access various passive perks and increase the number of crew members. You receive random loot drops to upgrade the ships as well. As you acquire more and more levels, you get access to new tiers of Space. Each new layer contains more enemies with unique abilities, bullet patterns and larger health pools. Higher tiers require the players to group up to be able to slain difficult bosses and elite opponents, and your spaceship has to have all the upgrades installed to survive the battles.

The gameplay of Gangs of Space does not include any player-versus-player activities at all, and all the in-game content focuses on cooperation between the players. Seizing enemy zones with friends is more fun, and it also allows new players to complete harder tiers of the game and get the rewards for it. You can acquire experience points by damaging an enemy, and the game rewards the players for their time spent in the captured zone and the number of enemies killed, so those who do the most work get the best loot.

As you grow in Gangs of Space, you acquire better weaponry, engines, and attribute upgrades. That way, you can feel the modifications that provide you with faster and tighter turning, a broader range of fire and a better rate, and bigger shields allow you to survive much longer. If you lose a ship, you also waste all the upgrades installed forever. You can always try new builds and various playstyles on different spaceships. However, you have to earn more in-game credits to build each one, and you also have to level up and complete multiple objectives to receive more hangar slots for additional ships.

Gangs of Space is a unique project that fits both casual and hardcore players because of multiple tiers of enemies and a massive procedurally generated world. All the new players can learn the basics competing alone or together with friends against easier opponents. The progression system allows the players to become better in the game and customize their ships to face more challenging opponents and acquire even better upgrades as well. The game offers the players to purchase unique skins and in-game credits to progress faster; however, there are no unique weapons or gear pieces to gain an additional advantage over other players.
