Genshin Impact will receive private chats & improved coop features

Genshin Impact Ganyu Patch 1.2 December 23 2020

The release of update 1.2 for Genshin Impact will take place on December 23, 2020. It's already confirmed that patch 1.2 for Genshin Impact will add a new Dragon Ridge location, plot-related questlines, and plenty of other stuff. The upcoming patch details are now available from the latest Developers Discussion published on the official website of the game.

The game will receive a private chat, allowing you to communicate with friends. If the players are not online, they will receive a notification after entering the game. If you click on the player's portrait, you will be able to add notes so you won't be confused by unfamiliar nicknames in the friend list. The multiplayer mode will also receive major improvements: when one of the players leave a group, the progress of the battle will no longer be interrupted. The group leader will be able to dissolve the team with the single click of a button, which is also a great innovation.

In addition to other feature, the update will add an option to repeat domain challenges without leaving the dungeon, and awards of the domain or the Ley Line flowers will drop into the inventory automatically. The update will also add functions of auto playback of dialogues and review of already completed conversations in the Traveller's Journal. The most exciting announcement is that players will receive Acquitant Fates for the ascension of the character at levels 20, 50, 70. If you have already ascended all your heroes, you will still receive an award.
