Gloria Victis Gameplay

In Gloria Victis, you can be a part of a living society and become whoever you want to be: a soldier, a knight, a swordsman, or a blacksmith. Flexible system of character development allows players to create unique combinations of available skills. The player has three sides to choose: Ismirs (Nordheim), Midlanders (Midland) and Sangmarians (Sangmar Empire). You can easily recognize their real prototypes because they based on existing nations.

A non-target combat system makes your skills and tactics important. It provides an opportunity to fight as a brave sword-wielder, or train skills as an archer. The diversity of game modes allows fighting to the death in tournaments, siege cities and castles and participate in the epic battles which involve large armies; conquer lands, towns and castles and build fortifications to gain an advantage in the conflict. In this game, you can join one of the nations and cooperate with allies.

The developers emphasized the Mount & Blade style combat system. In Gloria Victis, you'll have to fight for glory and show off your skill in open PvP. The game uses a non-target system and partial lute. Players will have to build forts, prepare for siege and take control of territories.

There are only three factions in the game, and you always can see activities and captures on the map. Some locations feature full loot PvP, while others don't have this mode. If you die on the battlefield, the game gives you 30 seconds to change the situation. After 30 seconds, all your items drop from the body.

It is worth mentioning the crafting system separately. Players can create weapons, armour, military equipment and materials for construction. Farmers, woodcutters and carpenters also take an essential place in this world. Craft system allows you to gather resources and materials, use the workstations and collaborate with others to increase efficiency and mastery in one of 8 different professions. It's also possible to cooperate with other farmers and cultivate different crops together. The economics is player-driven, and each crafted item has colossal worth.

The world of Gloria Victis is entirely open with no loading screens or invisible barriers, with complete housing system and area control mechanics. The NPCs respond to your actions and time of day. The vast, seamless world of Gloria Victis contains different challenges, diverse quests massive PvE events. Still, it's possible to choose a path of the warrior and participate only in PvP, or concentrate on crafts and earn the reputation of the skilled artisan. Since the world of GV based on medieval Europe, the biomes vary from the frosty north locations to green forests.

The weather conditions in this universe are changing. For example, it could suddenly start snowing, or the world could sink in a dense fog. It's quite a standard feature, but the local fauna is related to a randomly changing environment. It causes each change of seasons to be full of surprises: migrations of creatures, renewal of fauna and other mysteries lurking in darkness, mist, dampness or sandstorms.

You don't have to run around for two hours to find a PvP and rob someone. In this game, PvP goes all the time, nonstop. You can play solo; there are also activities both for small and large groups of players. The game perfectly creates conflict points for players, nations and guilds.

Since the game is still in the stage of the development, the creators have a plan of new features and significant updates. They already have listed systems of mounts and mounted combat, full-scale sieges, naval battles, housing, expanded storyline and dozens of side-activities.
