Kingdom Come: Deliverance Gameplay

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a Single-player First-Person RPG game developed by Warhorse Studios and published by Deep Silver. The release took place in February 2018. In the story, the player finds himself in the Middle Ages of Bohemia, located on the territory of the Roman Empire. After the death of the former ruler, a civil war for power unfolded on the lands. Unwittingly, the main character, Henry, is drawn into its very midst, becoming a victim of a raid by Sigismund's mercenary troops. Being one of the few survivors, he, having lost his home, parents and loved ones, decides to avenge what the offenders have done at all costs. From this moment, Henry's adventure begins.

During the gameplay, the player will move around the game world, completing various quests and improving the skills and characteristics of the main character. Kingdom Come: Deliverance implements a classless system that allows you to customize the hero to the desired playstyle, as well as combine the features of several classes.

Non-linearity of the game and the dynamism of the world

The freedom of choice is well implemented in the game. In each dialogue, it is possible to choose the answer that suits the player's opinion, which will subsequently influence the development of the plot and change the character's abilities. Kingdom Come: Deliverance also features a reputation system. From Henry's behaviour, his key actions, as well as the relationship with the people, a specific opinion will be formed about him. The character rating plays a key role since interaction with the NPC will depend on it. For example, due to a low rating, the hero will have to buy things at an increased cost.

Many side activities

In addition to the storyline, Kingdom Come: Deliverance offers a wide variety of different activities. Without taking into account the side quests, of which there are a lot of them, the player can do other things. Among these, one can note the study of a profession that will subsequently bring profit, riding a horse, participating in tournaments, robbery, hunting and others.

A full-fledged dice game is also separately implemented here, on which, with the proper skill and luck, you can make good money.

Game atmosphere

The main advantage of the game is its atmosphere. The developers managed to create a full-fledged medieval world, starting with a stylistically designed interface, and ending with exceptionally accurately detailed castles and villages.

Each location is worked out to the smallest detail, including vast natural spaces.

Accompanied by an excellent soundtrack, Kingdom Come: Deliverance manages to immerse the player in the Middle Ages completely.

System of skills and abilities

Improvement of the character's parameters here occurs only by the character's occupation with a case that would affect a particular parameter. For example, for great success in battles, it is necessary to conduct regular training in special places.

If you want to practice archery in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you have to visit the location equipped with everything you need.

Increasing the level occurs both for the character as a whole and for individual characteristics. With the increase, the player will receive skill points, which can later be spent on useful passive effects.

Realism of Kingdom Come: Deliverance

The developers of Kingdom Come: Deliverance have added hardcore elements of realism, adding side character needs and other features. So, the player will have to monitor the satiety and fatigue of the character so that he subsequently does not suddenly lose consciousness or worse. This also applies to battles: injuries are of a long-term nature and must be healed promptly. These and other features will oblige the player to monitor the state of the protagonist.
