Outlaws of the Old West Gameplay

The experience of the players in Outlaws of the Old West begins when they wake up in a wooden coffin, and a crow tries to peck through the lid. You are in the middle of the woods, and you need to figure out how to craft tools and create your first camp to survive in the wilderness. You have no objective, and the only purpose is to survive.

Before the game begins, you need to create and customize your character; you have a variety of appearance options, and you're also allowed to choose a starting profession. It gives the players specific bonuses that the characters will know how to do, and that makes some of the game aspects easier at the beginning.

The graphics in Outlaws of the Old West feature realistic environment in high-resolution textures, there are various effects such as rain, snow or fog. The massive world with over a hundred square kilometres consists of multiple biomes, and the weather may change at any time. It affects the types of resources you can harvest and animals you may encounter. The harsh environment challenges players to learn how to survive in different climates with continually changing surroundings.

Various towns around the map allow the players to barter their goods with vendors or other players, and an auction house is one of the core tools of the virtual economy. Players can trade anything with it, and it allows you to spend money to obtain specific items you may not be able to get any other way.

Morality level affects how others treat your character, and it goes down if you start killing everyone around you. Criminals are the objectives for bounty hunters so that NPCs would start attacking you very soon. Players are also able to obtain bounty contracts. In Outlaws of the Old West, players can group up to perform various tasks, go hunting or participate in player-versus-player activities. Killing other player rewards you with their loot; however, your morality level usually goes down with it.

Outlaws of the Old West is a sandbox survival game that fits both hardcore and casual gamers, and it offers a wide range of features available to the players.
