Path of Exile 2 Gameplay

Path of Exile 2 has a brand new campaign storyline; the events of this game unfold twenty years after the final of the original story. This project features nineteen new Ascension classes, improved weapons and armour system, advanced engine and many other redesigned features. PoE 2 will include all the expansion content implemented over the years, as well as improvements to the engine and many new features.

On their new journey across the continent Wraeclast, players will have to explore the new locations and immerse in battles with new monsters and bosses. The demonstrated gameplay video shows that combat mechanics are quite similar to intense fights with a variety of actions from the latest content packs. Despite a wide range of new features, the plot of Path of Exile 2 will be more simple than the events of the universal scale in the first part. Players will encounter new characters and immerse themselves in a new period in Wraeclast history. Although the details of the story as a whole are still unknown, the character selection screen is quite impressive. You can choose between a variety of new classes and options.

The visual component of the game will also be redesigned, with updated character models and improved animation. All armour and weapons were reworked from start to finish, along with brand new models of creatures and animation.

The sequel will include a new seven act campaign. The original storyline will not disappear; it will be available to explore for all players. Still, both the old and the new storylines will lead to the same endgame content. All player achievements, including options purchased for microtransactions, can be moved from the first to the second part. Grinding Gear Games has announced the Path of Exile 2 and set the estimated beta testing date at the end of 2020. However, the studio plans have changed, and now they start of testing is likely to be postponed until 2021. At this point, all signs indicate that Path of Exile 2 release date delayed to 2021-2022.

According to the developers, they could add new content to the game as part of the add-on, but after version 3.0 the plot of Path of Exile became too plentiful. The primary story campaign of PoE 2 will lead the player to the same end as the previous part. Moreover, both games will receive engine updates, graphics and new game mechanics. Microtransactions and extensions of the original game will be integrated into the sequel as well as the player's progress.

New Path of Exiles will get a new set of advanced classes to choose. There are 19 new specializations in addition to the first PoE campaign. Players will also get a redesigned skills system that will allow inserting support gems directly into the skill gems; this feature should make it easier to create your character while maintaining all the previous sophisticated mechanics. The character development is a new set of Exiles, which falls into the same class archetypes as the original game. Thus, players can choose from a set of 19 new Ascension classes, which are different from the old ones, still available in the Path of Exile campaign.

Naturally, there is a lot of new equipment, and the developers say on the official website that the entire development of armour and weapons were changed. Besides, users will be able to superimpose multiple Auras at the touch of a button. Equipment development in Path of Exile 2 also redesigned, and players will receive new items for grinding and working with the crafting system. The game will also feature significant changes for smooth mechanics that will allow players to change skills even in the middle of an animation.

Path of Exile 2 also introduces a new generation of the iconic skills system. Support Gems are now inserted directly into Skill Gems, eliminating many of the flaws that were present in the old system, while maintaining the same depth. You can now combine each skill your character uses into six links.

During the gameplay, players will hear dark and daring motives. The team plans to combine folk/ethnic melodies, industrial and "tribal" sounds in the soundtrack. The composer also wants to reduce the share of the symphony orchestra in the music and replace it with synthesizers.
