Phantasy Star Online 2

In Phantasy Star Online 2 players start on the intergalactic fleet at the forefront of deep-space exploration. You are the newest recruit of ARKS, which is a part of the task force assigned to surveying and monitoring inhospitable planets while scouting for signs of a corrupted power that seeks to destroy the universe.

The home base for players is their city-sized spaceship, where various inhabitants of different races train in combat to prepare to undertake missions for protecting the universe from the Falspawn. There are four races available for the players:

Humans are excellent all-around ARKS Operatives because their versatility allows them to adapt quickly in all environments. A mix of physical strength and affinity to Photon Arts makes them able to become any class or to use any weapon.
Newmans are the result of genetic manipulation to create species that perform well with Photon Arts, which they are great with, but less favoured with health and physical power. They excel in wielding elemental or restorative forces, and you can identify them by their sharp and pointy ears.
Casts are the result of the transplant of doomed individuals into robotic frames to enable their survival. Formerly Humans or Newmans, they become physically more durable at the cost of their ability to wear some of the items and weaker Photon powers.
Deumans are members of an artificially created race, and they are unique for having horns and a chance to have dichromatic eyes, making this race powerful with Photon Arts and stand out from the others on the ship.

The setting of Phantasy Star Online 2 consists of the space fleet and multiple planets available to all players, where they monitor the worlds and prevent any harm done by Falspawn.

Naverius is a planet of ecological and evolutionary extremes, and it features lush forest and tundra.
Lillipa is a vast desert with frequent sandstorms, which hides ancient ruins of an old advanced civilization.
Amduskia consists of muggy volcanic caves and cooling breezes of the floating continent, and draconic species that inhabit this world are usually hostile to intruders.
Wopal is a planet of seafoam and salt air with seabed caverns below the sands of the coast, which is home to deviant Oceanids.
Harukotan is a binary world of two factions with their opposing architectural styles, which are Daybreakers and Nightfallers.

The combat arts are quite complex, and they consist of regular attacks, lock-on, Photon Arts, special techniques, charging, jumping, dodging, and guarding; and each class mostly focuses on one of them.

Phantasy Star Online 2 offers a complex storyline with entirely different settings, and flexibility of the combat system allows to select a unique gaming style to fight with the dark forces in the way it fits both casual and hardcore gamers. The massive community is always helpful to new players, and the developers keep the updates coming weekly.

Phantasy Star Online 2 Classes

Apart from the races, players also need to choose one of nine available classes, which are Fighter, Gunner, Techter, Summoner, Braver, Bouncer, Force, Hunter, and Ranger. However, at the beginning of the tutorial, you can only choose one out of six, and you can't change it until the end of it. Class Consultant in the Gate Area of the ARKS Ship offers players to switch classes at any time without restrictions.
