The prologue of the Markarth Expansion for ESO is free-to-play

Elder Scrolls Online Free-to-Play Markarth DLC

In anticipation of the next DLC for fantasy MMORPG Elder Scrolls Online, developers have released a free prologue which is available to all owners of the game, even without the previous additions and chapters. To start the Markarth prologue, you must take a contract from the Ravenwatch house in the in-game crown shop. The new content will be installed on Public Test Server today.

The prologue will explore the ancient legends of the supernatural army known as the Gray Host. Gwendis, a character from the main storyline and the addition "Stonethorn", will help you with this. You will uncover the secret of the noble vampire house of Ravenwatch and challenge the evil that threatens the Tamriel.

The developer also has published a 20-minute video that highlights the upcoming add-on, in-game events and the Tamriel Together campaign to mark the end of the "Dark Heart of Skyrim" adventure. The Markarth expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online will be released on PC (Steam) and Google Stadia on 2nd November, and on consoles (Xbox One and PlayStation 4) on 10th November.
