Ragnarok Online 2 Gameplay

Ragnarok Online 2 welcomes its players with a series of quests that guide them through the basics of skills, quests, fighting, crafting and cards. The tutorial guides the players through the first ten levels of their development, and you can target enemies and other players with left-click and initiate the combat by right-clicking them. Some quests also feature cutscenes and other events to progress the storyline.

After the players get to a higher level, they can choose a class specialization. Acolytes can become Priests or Monks, Archers choose from Beastmasters and Rogues, Swordsmen becomes a Warrior or a Knight, and Magicians promoted to Wizards or Sorcerers. That grants the players additional abilities and class-specific features, such as passive bonuses and boosted attributes. You can only select the specialization once, and it cannot be changed afterwards. As the players level up, they acquire additional skill points and attributes bonuses. You can select what to increase manually, and the characteristics include Strength, Agility, Intelligence, Vitality and Wisdom. That also affect minor attributes, such as Attack Power, Defence and others. The players can also unlock more powerful versions of their skills by investing the skill points in them.

Crafting in Ragnarok Online 2 allows the players to choose a profession during character creation. You can choose between Artisan, Blacksmith, Chef and Alchemist. Each role has a broad range of collectable materials to search for, and they use to create unique items, such as weapons, armour and consumables. It is crucial to have specific valuables to be able to participate in the most hardcore challenges in the game. Crafting also features the Dual-Life system, which allows the players to set up their characters as NPCs to offer their services to others while offline.

Cards are another crucial gameplay aspect of Ragnarok Online 2. You can acquire them by defeating monsters and equip them to boost the attributes and add other passive abilities. They serve as permanent buffs to allow the players to develop their characters continuously by obtaining better versions of the cards. You start with one card slot unlocked, but with levelling up, you can unlock more slots with a total up to five. Specific merchants can combine multiple cards into one to allow the players to increase their attributes even further.

Ragnarok Online 2 features two different ways to participate in player-versus-player activities. The first one represents 1v1 duels, and any players can initiate it anywhere to battle each other. The second mode is called Colosseum, and the players are thrown together into an arena full of monsters. In these battles, players survive and battle each other and monsters simultaneously to accumulate a higher number of kills and try not to die. That way, you can earn Blood Points and spend them on buying high-quality weapons and armour.

Ragnarok Online 2 features the in-game shop for the players to purchase various items to change their visual appearance and to boost their in-game attributes. Multiple costumes are available to stand out from others, and powerups may boost your experience gain and increase the defence rating by a significant number. The premium mount box provides you with a random mount that you can use for two weeks. There is a chance to keep it afterwards as well. Players can also purchase a Guardian Rune to change their classes without levelling them from the beginning of the game.
