Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Gameplay

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is a fascinating tactical shooter video game developed by Ubisoft for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game was announced on June 9 at E3 2014 and released on December 1 2015.

The main gameplay is based on intense battles between military units and defenders in a limited space. Players have to choose playable characters and master their abilities to lead their allies to victory in exciting and dynamic team battles. It is a destruction that is at the head of the game mechanics. The damage rate depends on the calibre of the used bullets or the power of the explosives. Walls, floors and ceilings can be destroyed by creating new positions and access points. Often the optimal use of the environment opportunities is a guarantee of victory. Defenders can use repair kits to strengthen collapsible walls and for some operatives' devices. All objects are made as realistic as possible.

Rainbow Six Siege has several main game modes—multiplayer, regular, rated and unrated. Unrated matches because they don't affect the rank and MMR. In rating mode, players can get an individual title. The profile displays parameters such as the ratio of kills/deaths and wins/losses. Each team consists of 5 members of special forces fighting against each other.

There are also several network modes: "Hostage", "Position Capture", "Charge".

Hostage: the stormtroopers must locate and rescue the hostage from the building. The defenders must prevent this by setting up barricades and traps.
Secure AreaSecure Area: the stormtroopers must find the room with the chemical container and keep it preventing the enemy from an assault staying in the room for 10 seconds.
Bomb: the Navigator finds one of the two charges and activates the deactivator, which must be located in the same room. The assault squad wins the round if they manage to defuse the charge or destroy the opposing team. This mode is the only one used for eSports competitions.

The game has "Operations", a set of 10 short single-player missions that explain the basics of the game and introduce them to new operatives. "Terrorist Hunt" allows you to play alone or with friends. The main goal is to perform a defence or attack. In these modes, you will have to fight with opponents controlled by artificial intelligence. The game uses a random combination of scenarios, maps, time of day, quests, locations of operations and settings of fortifications to create unique conditions for players each time. You can visit different areas all around the world.
Recruits don't have specialised equipment, so each unit has special operatives with unique devices for defence and attack.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege provides a vast selection of unique operatives with powerful equipment that will help the team win. This game takes hot shootouts, skill and experience, tactical planning and the competitive aspect to a new level. As for the protection strategy, all sorts of means of strengthening walls and floors, shields, barbed wires and other obstacles are available; the attacking side can capture the enemy's position with the help of reconnaissance robots, penetration charges and other tools. Players themselves assemble a team of operatives with particular devices, explore maps, use the latest technology to track the enemy, change the rules of battle thanks to agents and achieve their goals.

The announcement of the sixth year of updates Rainbow Six: Siege took place simultaneously with the publication of the fifth year of updates. During 2021 the developers plan to add four operatives, four redesigned or new maps, four in-game events and four combat passes.
