Rare Ltd

Rare Ltd is a British privately-owned company specialized in computer games development, which was founded in 1982. Initially, the company was involved in the development of games for ZX Spectrum and Nintendo; later it was acquired by Microsoft. The most notable projects developed by Rare studios are Donkey Kong Country trilogy, fighting game series Killer Instinct, and massively multiplayer game in the pirate setting Sea of Thieves.
