SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays Gameplay
SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays offers the players unique teams of fighters from a combination of four eras infamous anime heroes from SEED, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, 00 and Iron-Blooded Orphans. The storyline involves various events from the manga of these series, and the characters often refer to them in dialogues as well. The players may have to read comics to find out what happens after the in-game story's main events.
SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays features high-resolution 3D models and high-quality animations and effects for the players to experience. Some special skills even have unique cutscenes after being used during combat. That mechanic is also used for the dialogues and major storyline-related scenes to make the experience even more epic. Most of the time you control armoured robots, however, the main characters are people inside these machines, and you can customize both pilots and transformers.
Gundam Cross Rays allows the players to develop both types of characters, and mechs can level up to passively increase their attributes, which you can choose manually. At the beginning of the game, each skill point increases the power level significantly. However, each one of the same attributes adds less and less power towards a specific ability. Each pilot in SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays has unique preassigned passive perks and five empty slots with a sixth opening after the end of the main storyline. The players can obtain abilities from elite enemies and use them to fill these slots. You can also sell them to others to receive some funds.
In SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays, you can also upgrade your units into better ones by reaching a specific character level. After that, you may confirm the transformation, and you will get a new mech of a better class, but it would reset its level for you to develop it again. The players can purchase different mechs in the in-game stores, and combine two other robots to unlock another one to buy. The game also allows you to exchange your levelled up mech to an equivalent one.
The positioning of units in squads plays a crucial role in the combat aspect of the game. The players have to put units with specific bonuses next to each other to amplify their attributes and reduce the damage. Mechs can simultaneously attack and protect each other, and the players can counter specific abilities with their formatting. Some battles have subtitles and dialogues along the way, and unique missions grant access to otherwise unobtainable skills and units.
SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays is available internationally on PC, and some Asian regions also allow the players to play the game on consoles. All the versions carry English localization, including the DLCs. The developers continuously support the game with updates and additions to the existing world, and the players can find both casual and hardcore content to complete. There are multiple types of missions to experience and obtain valuable rewards. The worldwide community is active and supports new players with guides and instructions to create ultimate squads and battle the opponents. The game also allows the players to continue completing missions without launching the game to get additional money and experience.
