Ship of Heroes Gameplay
In Ship of Heroes players put on the role of superheroes on a travelling generation spaceship that surfs the worlds in the year of 2487. Newly born superheroes are trained to become planet protectors. The primary threat is aliens that invade planets so they can get a hold of the resources and people. Besides fighting the foes, heroes get to complete domestic tasks given by their mentors on the ship, cyborgs and such.
Ship of Heroes possesses a wide spectre of character customization. Players are in control of the looks of their characters, their clothing and accessories. Making the character more remarkable helps players to involve themselves in the atmosphere of the MMORPG. Character creation includes hundreds of costume pieces and easy tools to alter the character's proportions and build, so players don't meet anyone alike in the game.
The MMORPG supports solo play and team play, and it is equally comfortable to go through the story with or without a party. Ship of Heroes presents players with real-time action combat with plenty of variable playstyles. The playstyles can be combined together, creating unique multiclasses.
While travelling through the worlds of Ship of Heroes, players get to harvest diverse materials that can be crafted into different items. Each world has its own particular resources. At the launch of the game, worlds tend to repeat themselves, but developers say the game will gradually widen its borders to create many possibilities to choose from.
In Ship of Heroes, there is a classic archetype system. Tanks take damage, Brawlers and Devastators focus on melee and ranged attacks, and Defenders have a variety of powers that allow healing and buffing. Developers intend on adding more classes in the game and combining abilities to create unique heroes. Each archetype has variable primary and secondary powersets to choose from, and each set of powers toggles different playstyles. The first ones to be added would be Controllers, who stun enemies, and Commanders, who control a squad of allies.
Heroes on the ship have jobs that allow them to receive in-game credits. Duties vary from ship security to resource harvesting. Using the crafting system can also help players earn more money to create or buy better gear. All of the efforts will be rewarded by vast amounts of credits, depending on the difficulty of the task given.
At the launch of the game, Ship of Heroes only has a PvE system that involves players fighting against AI in battles, but developers intend to add various PvP features soon. Players will be able to try everything from one-on-one duels to the team and raid-sized warfare. PvP is going to be optional but granting extra rewards.
