SkyForge Gameplay

Skyforge is a computer game related to the MMORPG genre and made in the style of techno-fantasy. Two studios were engaged in development - the Allods Team, known at one time for the very popular Allods Online project, and Obsidian Entertainment, the creators of Tyranny and Path of Exile. The studio was responsible for the publishing house The release took place in 2015. Skyforge is powered by the CryEngine.

Skyforge events take place on the planet Elion, under the auspices of Eli, a powerful god. He was the guardian of this world, protecting him from the attacks of enemies. However, at one point, the sudden disappearance of Eli and Elion becomes an easy target for aggressive alien invaders. Under the blows of aliens, the planet is gradually weakening, but the immortals come to its aid to protect it. The player will take on the role of one of these immortals.

Gameplay of the Skyforge is significantly different from the MMORPG in the classic sense. In Skyforge, as in all free2play projects, there is an in-game store. However, real money investments here are optional, and the extraction of donating currency can occur right in the game. There is also a premium subscription system similar to ArcheAge. Several premium ranks are implemented here, depending on which the player will receive the corresponding number of awards. Premium subscription not only simplifies the gameplay but also reduces the time required to move to the end game.

Unlike most MMORPGs in Skyforge, the plot is well thought out. You don`t want to scroll the dialogues without looking, and the campaign, although small, will give a lot of positive emotions. All creatures and locations have a separate ENT and a history of origin.

The graphic component of Skyforge can pleasantly please and compete with modern games. The world is well developed; each location has been given due attention. The models of all non-player characters are well detailed.

Skyforge boasts as many as 18 different classes. A unique feature is that you can change between them right during the game. This feature creates an excellent tool for developing your tactics.

The combat system here is taken from the genre of slashers: the camera follows the static cursor, and attacks are carried out by clicking on the mouse button. Abilities are used by pressing hotkeys. There is a charge accumulation system that allows you to activate the ultimate talent of the form of God. It makes the player more mobile, improves all characteristics and will enable you to deal massive damage.

The levelling of the character is carried out by increasing four sources of strength: equipment, symbols, power and passive abilities. Material is responsible for strengthening the secondary characteristics of the hero. Power is its main combat characteristic: the higher it is, the greater the health and damage caused to the character. Passive abilities have positive effects. The symbols here are peculiar activated abilities.

There are several game modes in Skyforge, for fans of both PvP and PvE. Fans of battle with other players can try rating battles of different scales. PvE adherents will find themselves in regular in-game events, like intrusions.

Skyforge — MMORPG, which managed to combine the classic elements of the genre, as well as add unique features. The game is recommended to all lovers of such projects, as well as titles such as Archeage and Revelation Online.

Skyforge Classes

The classes of SkyForge vary by their role in team combat. This game uses a classic model based on the archetypes like a tank, support, damage-dealer, and others; the classes are also defined by their primary weapon, range of the combat and specialization of skills.

Melee Attack — damage-dealer classes with high attack rate, who perform the best at the front rows on the battlefield. These heroes are involved in melee combat, where they always emerge victoriously. Among them are Berserker, Monk, Revenant, and Slayer.

Ranged Attack — the heroes who use bows or firearms, for example, Archer, Gunner, and Outlaw.

Energy Attack — a kind of magical fighters with different abilities — the Cryomancer, Kinetic, Necromancer, Witch or Warlock.

Defence — the tank classes with high protection, shields, and a wide range of defensive skills. The Defence classes are Paladin and Knight.

Support — the buffers and healers, who support the allies during the combat. They have lousy damage rate and defends, but their unique abilities are indispensable.
