stein.world Gameplay
stein.world features simplified 16-bit graphics and low-resolution textures accessible through multiple platforms and every browser. Players don't have to download any assets; it's possible to join the game using even mobile phone.
When you login in for the first time, you start the game in a tavern after a night of partying. The storyline revolves around your character, and the primary goal is to reclaim a family legacy, which is a drinking stein. Soon, you discover that a band of thieves have it in their possession and they refuse to give it back. Your character has to travel to become more powerful and take it back with force.
Stein.world offers the players an in-depth tutorial, which includes a few dialogues and several simple quests to understand the basics of the gameplay and other features. You can explore the massive virtual world alone and complete numerous activities, or party up with other players to complete dungeons and other more complex challenges to acquire better rewards and proceed through the main storyline.
Stein.world features a wide range of role-playing mechanics to learn during the game:
- Threat decides what players are the priority for the hostile monsters. Doing harmful actions towards other units increases this stat, and that way, weaker players can avoid damage.
- Status Effects increase specific attributes and add more effects to the abilities and items.
- The game features a system of dice rolling, and a group of players roll the dice for the valuable rewards.
- Bank provides the players with additional space for their inventories.
stein.world Craft System
The game also features a few professions to craft various gear pieces and consumables. To learn one, you have to find a Skillbook, which can be found on enemies' corpses and purchased from computer-controlled vendors. You can learn as many professions as you want, and the book has to be in your inventory at all times to allow the character to increase the skill over time. The game features three gathering professions, which are Mining, Herbalism and Lumbering. You can use them to obtain materials to create items with other five primary specializations:
Weaponsmith features all the available types of weaponry in the game.
Enchanting put additional effects on most pieces of equipment.
Tailoring allows to craft light armour for wizards and other mana-dependent roles.
Armoursmiths focus on producing heavy armour for melee classes.
Leatherworking allows the players to make leather armour for a few of the available playstyles.
stein.world is a free-to-play project; however, the game also has a subscription which allows you to acquire more experience, to be able to add more friends and extends many other in-game features. A lot of game aspects require you to grind, and various limitations do not allow free players to be as strong as VIP ones.
stein.world Classes
Stein.world provides the players with four general classes, which are melee, healer, tank and mage. You can equip different kinds of weapons to change your attack type, and various items have unique magical effects. They have separated cooldowns and types of damage, and you can use them in between casting spells and other attacks. You can also switch weapons during combat to perform more skills because they all have separate cooldown types. The game also features different kinds of opponents, and some may not be hostile until you do a hostile action towards them. That allows you to explore various locations freely without being blocked by a group of enemies everywhere.
