Tom Clancy’s The Division Gameplay
Tom Clancy’s The Division is a multiplayer TPS developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. The first presentation of the game took place at the E3 conference, after which the whole project has undergone many changes. The release took place on March 2016.
According to the plot, the entire game world is engulfed in a terrible pandemic epidemy. Everywhere around thriving robbery, looting, chaos, and anarchy. Services stop functioning one after another, and all people lose their power sources. The real struggle for life begins. The player will feel himself in the role of an elite fighter of a special forces detachment, the primary purpose of which will be the salvation of the whole society.
The gameplay is an online role-playing game in a massive open world. The player is given control of a member of an elite squad. Tom Clancy’s The Division has its character customization menu, where it is possible to fine-tune the appearance of a fighter. He can choose a hairstyle, facial hair, various accessories, tattoos, and much more.
The main activity that will help to level the character and acquire the necessary equipment will be the implementation of story and side quests. The tasks here are of varying degrees of difficulty, and in almost every one of them, armed clashes will take place with other survivors.
The action takes place in New York, mired in devastation and chaos. Therefore, traveling along with it, the player literally at every step will have to face trouble. Exploring the streets of the city, you can stumble upon opponents, who are bandits and other unpleasant personalities. Tom Clancy’s The Division ™ is a post-apocalyptic game, but there are no zombies and other fantastic creatures. The central conflict is tied around the population. Besides, according to the Dark Souls system, players will fight with the same people for resources and experience. Defeating a team of players is quite problematic, especially if it has good weapons, so it is recommended to play with your friends.
Opponent bots are divided into three classes, which are indicated by color icons above their heads. There are ordinary, armored, and elite enemies. If the simple ones should not have any problems, then for the victory of the bulletproof, one already has to show tactical skills and good shooting. The situation with the elite is even more complicated. They are surrounded by strong support, while their health is much higher, and their weapons are much stronger than the two previous types. All enemies are also divided by type of combat: shooters, melee fighters, grenadiers, and snipers. To defeat each of them, one has to think through individual tactics, make good use of the environment, and the available equipment. For killing each of them, the loot corresponding to their color class will fall.
Tom Clancy’s The Division is a very atmospheric game. Dilapidated New York, empty streets, eternally cloudy weather, and the corresponding soundtrack allow you to fully experience the state of affairs of the country on yourself.
The game has a large number of different equipment for any warfare. Each weapon can be further modified, increasing accuracy, range, etc. Also, in Tom Clancy’s The Division, there is a system of crafting equipment from the resources found during the trip.
Tom Clancy’s The Division is a project more for fans to grind and fight with other people. The world and the quest system are implemented at a high level. The game is recommended to all fans of third-person shooters, as well as fans of the Tom Clancy’s series.
