War Selection Gameplay
War Selection is a massively multiplayer game with various elements of real-time strategy projects. The game allows you to participate in battles and explore the map with others simultaneously, and the servers can support up to sixty-two unique players. The players can also explore diverse game modes that have different rules and available features, and you can customize multiple aspects of them in each session to adjust your playstyle. The game is a free-to-play project; however, several game types require a premium monthly subscription. You can subscribe to the game to unlock some of the additional features, but you have to have an active subscription for at least several months to unlock all of the in-game features.
Each match in War Selection begins with the players choosing from various civilizations to start ruling them in the Stone Age. The game offers to explore multiple historical eras and finally reach the last stage, which is the Industrial Age. Leadership involves different aspects, including controlling troops into a battle and managing various activities and resource usage. The game allows the players to develop units and unlock more technologies, and some of them are unique to specific civilizations. That way, the gameplay of each nation is different, and it adds a lot more replayability.
War Selection features diverse game modes, which you can experience alone or with friends online. The game includes both player-versus-player and player-versus-environment competitions:
- Survival is a mode where you build a base with other players to protect it against hordes of computer-controlled enemies.
- Free-for-All is a type of game where players develop their civilizations to compete against others and become the last one standing.
- Ranked 1vs1 allows two players to battle each other to climb the ranked ladder.
- Team match offers groups of players to fight versus other teams in both casual and ranked games.
- Armageddon is a battle royale game mode that allows sixty-two players to survive in a relatively small area that is continuously bombed by meteors until there is only one remaining.
War Selection includes the units of each era, and there are both land and naval characters. The game supports both standard and procedurally-generated types of maps, and they also contain neutral nations and wildlife. The territories are usually vast, and the players can pick a starting civilization choosing from both European and Asian nations. After selecting one of these two, the players can choose from a broader range of countries from that area. However, it does not affect your actual starting location because maps are random, and that makes each match unique.
War Selection is a unique project that focuses on battles in a realistic environment, starting from the Stone Age and leading it to modern times. The game fits both casual and hardcore players, and different civilizations offer a unique experience, structures, strategies and units to manage and control to defeat the enemies. Diverse game modes can satisfy casual gamers, which can experience the battle royale implementation or try to survive against monsters; and hardcore players can climb the ranked ladder to be featured on the global leaderboard and show off their achievements worldwide. The developers continuously update the game by adding more countries, units and features to the pool.
