Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution Gameplay

Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist offers classic functions of the genre: the creation of a deck with more than 10000 different cards, dynamic duel battles, and immersive story. The storyline is based on the anime events, which will appeal to its fans. Also, users can even try the role of the villain in so-called "reverse duels".

The plot of the new incarnation of Yu-Gi-Oh! tells five stories of different characters in the form of small novels that show the episodes from the lives of the protagonist. Each story has approximately the same plot: the protagonist begins to learn the basics of card battles and then saves the friends from the clutches of enemies in epic fights.

One plot block consists of dozens 1v1 duel battles. The player can use either the plot deck or customized one, limited only by the personal imagination of the player. After you defeat the enemy, it's allowed to play a reverse battle on the side of 'evil' against 'good'. Regardless of the outcome of the fight, you get new cards as well as a significant amount of currency. Money allows you to buy boosters with random content ( each one with eight cards) at local shops. The further you go in the story, the more shops are opened. All defeated opponents open as additional calls in a particular mode with unrealistically powerful decks.

Summon of the monsters has a variety of ways, ranging from basic cards 'out of hand', which combines simple cards, ending with a rise from the grave, special pendulum zone, fusion substitution, and dozen of other advanced techniques. The same goes for traps and spells. Sometimes the number of effects of one card reaches almost ten, so it becomes difficult to keep such information in your head. In battle, it's uncomfortable to look at the description; to do this, you need to wait for the right moment in the combat, point and click on the map, then click three on the keyboard and click again—all this takes a lot of time and effort, and it's quite hard.
