MMO From 2000

Even though 2000 was an excellent year for video games in general, it wasn’t productive for multiplayer projects. It was too risky to release an online project when thousands of players even didn’t have an internet connection. Still, several developers decided to roll a dice and release the games which now known as a golden classic of MMO from 2000: Counter-Strike, Phantasy Star Online and Final Fantasy IX. Japanese creators also succeeded in console gaming: Sony released the PlayStation 2, which became the best-selling console in history.
