In most modern RPG games, players are allowed to trade at auction or exchange loot with other gamers. It is implemented in almost every game and serves as an excellent opportunity to earn more money. Most often, in MMORPG with Player Driven Economy, exchange and trade are limited only to the most valuable resources and objects, and the free sale function serves as an additional source of incomeб. Still, things are a little different in survival and sandbox RPGs. In these games, usually, there are no official auction or merchant NPCs. In this genre, players have an opportunity to establish stores, develop trade between settlements and agree on the price of goods. Here, the economy works in the same way as in real life: if you are an artisan, then you produce unique products that are usually inaccessible to players of other classes. It means that you can independently choose the price based on competitors’ rates, dumping costs or establish alliances where all traders agree to support each other. You can also become a reseller of items or a supplier of resources if you do not want to be involved in the struggle between merchants.
