More About Raiding MMORPG

The most common concept of Raiding in MMORPG consists of a group of players who perform different roles, the dungeons full of various monsters, and the mighty Boss, which attacks players at the end of the competition. However, raids can consist of a battle with other players or only range of the common mobs. The challenge usually placed in an instanced location, which is separated from the public areas and other players.

The mechanics of raids are based on cooperation between players with different game roles, and this feature is closely related to the class system. It’s not possible to defeat Boss if players can’t perform their gameplay part correctly. It’s vital because raid dungeons contain different mobs and dangers, which should be fixed on time. For example, players with the tank roles should protect the characters with low health and defence, while they attack enemies from a distance or heal the allies; the composition of Tank, Healer and Damage Dealer is iconic for Raiding MMORPG.

The main goal of the Raiding MMORPG is to challenge players, but it’s not only about competition. At the end of the raid, players can receive unique items, equipment, pets and mounts, or even legendary title, which shows your merit to other players. In some videogames, raids of the high-level are incredibly hardcore. Many major guilds compete to defeat the Boss faster than others. It’s a very common thing that raid boss can be defeated only by one or two guilds until it’s nerfed.
